Valentines Tasting – Champagne de Castelnau
Friday 13th February – 7:45 -10pm £15 per ticket
A cheeky little Champers for Valentines, what could be better!!
A wonderful house with a long history dating back to 1916, the brand name was created in honour of General Edouard de Curières De Castelnau, a celebrated war hero from the First World War. Very much in vogue for much of the 20th century, especially in the 1930′s, Champagne De Castelnau appeared on the tables of several royal families as well as the French armed forces throughout the world.
Today, from its cellars in the heart of Reims, the House controls over 900 hectares in more than 140 different Crus spread across some of the finest vineyard sites in Champagne, allowing it to make exceptional wines for the Champagne De Castelnau range.
This should be a fun night in our small store tasting a host of delicious fizz. It is also a chance to learn about how Champagne is made, the history of the region and the style, flavours and range of wines produced by a stunning winemaker.
We only have a few spaces left for this one so please get in touch asap to reserve your spot…
Hope to see you all soon!
